Job summary

Valenz Health is seeking a Data Engineer I to help develop and maintain scalable data pipelines within a modern cloud-based data platform. You will transform, validate, and integrate healthcare data from multiple sources to ensure accurate, reliable, and accessible data for analytics, reporting, and broader business needs.

You will partner with Analytics and cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into effective solutions, while supporting the evolution of our lakehouse

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a quantitative/technical field.
• 1+ years of data engineering, software development, or related experience.
• Strong SQL and Python abilities for data manipulation and processing.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and data integrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance data pipelines ingesting data from multiple sources.
• Migrate on-premise SQL Server data systems to cloud-based lakehouse architecture using Azure Databricks/Delta Lake.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes using SQL, Python, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and governance.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand data needs and design supporting pipelines.
