Job summary

Trilogy Federal is seeking a motivated Data Engineer to support the design, development, and sustainment of enterprise workflow and case management applications for a federal health client. You will collaborate with senior developers, data engineers, and business analysts to build data models, integrations, and reporting outputs enabling a multi-level clinical review workflow.

The position is remote with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, data science, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of software development or data engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON.
• Git-based version control and collaboration.
• Ability to work from user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, maintain app components including intake forms and dashboards.
• Design data structures for routing, threshold logic, versioning, and reporting.
• Build data pipelines from Excel/CSV/form submissions to the application data layer.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and stored logic.
• Develop REST API integrations and data exchanges with enterprise systems.
• Create reporting views and dashboards for SLA and performance metrics.
• Translate epics and acceptance criteria into working functionality in Agile sprints.
• Produce technical docs and runbooks for onboarding and future features.
• Support security, privacy, records management, and accessibility requirements.
