Job summary

Trilogy Federal is seeking a remote Data Engineer with expertise in SSAS, SSIS, and Power BI to support a federal client. The role emphasizes implementing SSAS, developing complex dashboards, and transforming raw data into actionable insights.

Candidates should have extensive SQL, cloud experience (AWS/Azure), and the ability to work independently while meeting evolving requirements. Ideal candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years of experience, and must be eligible for a Public Trust

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience and a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience with Java and JavaScript.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL.
• Define and develop new reporting and data queries using SQL, SSAS, and SSIS.
• Experience building both star and snowflake schemas.
• Working knowledge of tabular, relational, and multidimensional data models.
• Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Experience building complex dashboards and reports with Power BI.
• Expert-level understanding of ETL, data pipeline, and data warehousing concepts.

Trilogy Federal is looking for a remote Data Engineer with working knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and Power BI to join our growing company and support our federal client. Our ideal candidate will contribute effectively towards our team goals and ensure exceptional customer experience for our client and their employees.

We are seeking an experienced candidate who has prior implementation skills to implement a functional SSAS environment. The selected candidate must have working knowledge of tabular and multidimensional data models, in addition to experience documenting logical and physical data models.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Implement a functional SSAS environment.
• Building and re-designing a set of reports that need to transition to an analysis services environment.
• Work with our customer’s technical team to identify initial requirements.
• Apply tabular, relational, and multidimensional data modeling methodologies.
• Transform raw data into meaningful business decisions and pre-aggregate data for optimal results.
• Document logical and physical data models.
• Document and update reporting environment data model
• Develop new reports based on customer requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of overall professional experience and bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 6 years of experience with JAVA and JAVA Script
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL
• Define and develop new reporting and data queries using SQL, SSAS, and SSIS
• Experience building both star and snowflake schemas
• Working knowledge of tabular, relational, and multidimensional data models
• Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
• Experience building complex dashboards and reports with Power BI
• Expert-level understand of ETL, data pipeline, and data warehousing concepts
• Self-starter able to work independently and within a team
• Flexibility and the ability to react to rapidly changing requirements
• The ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience generating data models and analytics of a financial nature including budgeting, financial management, or personnel environment.
• Preferred VA experience but not required

$115,000 - $130,000 a year

This range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as Trilogy Federal conducts an individual equity review for every candidate based on experience, location, education, industry experience, and comparisons to internal pay bands.
