Branch is a remote-first fintech company in the U.S. seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines powering critical processes such as money movement, fraud responses, and client reporting.

You will contribute end-to-end ownership, develop hooks and internal libraries for future pipelines, and work in a small, high-trust team that values clarity and maintainability. This role offers a chance to grow with a team that prioritizes data reliability, observability, and scalable data

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of Airflow experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake, Airflow, DBT, GCP.
• BS in Computer Science or related field.

Aufgaben

• Build and maintain data pipelines that other teams and customers rely on.
• Integrate with internal and external APIs to send and receive data.
• Orchestrate and automate workflows using Airflow on Kubernetes.
• Implement unit tests, monitoring, and alerting to ensure data reliability.
• Improve the observability and efficiency of existing pipelines.
• Monitor production pipelines, debug issues, and document root causes.
• Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate assumptions.
• Contribute to design discussions and surface functional gaps early.
