Job summary

HII Mission Technologies, Warfare Systems group, is seeking a Mid/Senior Data Engineer (Software Development Analyst) to support DoW initiatives. This remote-eligible role focuses on enhancing a centralized data environment delivering auditable financial data for DoW decision-making, with required active Secret clearance.

You will develop Python-based pipelines, leverage SQL expertise, and work in SAFe Agile environments to deliver high-impact data solutions for executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven Python development experience with scalable data pipelines.
• Strong relational database (SQL) skills.
• Experience designing and deploying ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Knowledge of Agile/SAFe development environments.
• Ability to mentor and guide development efforts.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Remote-eligible with East Coast core hours.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and govern data architectures and schemas for enterprise-scale applications supporting DoW data tracking and accountability reforms.
• Develop Python-based data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for secure data ingestion and transformation from diverse sources.
• Query, optimize, and ensure data integrity in relational databases (SQL).
• Work within Agile/SAFe frameworks to deliver iterative, value-focused increments.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to align development with DoW policies and FMS reform objectives.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure auditable, transparent data flows supporting executive decision-making.
