Job summary

Plain Concepts is seeking a data engineer/architect to advance data-driven projects across the US. You will design and implement scalable data solutions, build ETLs with Spark using Python or Scala, and deploy on Azure or AWS.

The role supports remote work with Agile practices, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on best practices, testing, and data modeling using DBT and Snowflake.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency with Python or Scala and Spark for large datasets.
• Cloud experience with Azure or AWS.
• Experience with Snowflake.
• Hands-on data pipelines development (CI/CD).
• Experience with testing (unit, integration, etc.).
• Experience with DBT for data transformation and modelling (core/cloud).
• Bonus: IaC experience.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• English proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the design and development of Data solutions for challenging projects.
• Develop projects from scratch with minimal supervision and strong team collaboration.
• Be a key player in fostering best practices, clean, and reusable code.
• Develop ETLs using Spark (Python/Scala).
• Work on cloud-based projects (Azure/AWS).
• Build scalable pipelines using a variety of technologies.
