Job summary

Grüns is seeking a data infrastructure engineer to design and own data pipelines end-to-end in a fully remote environment. You will build and operate Airflow DAGs, develop dbt models, and create a robust semantic layer trusted by analysts and AI tools.

You will collaborate with Finance, Operations, Growth, and Technology to turn ambiguous requests into durable data products, while documenting decisions and ensuring system reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role.
• Production-quality Python and advanced SQL with tested code.
• Experience designing and operating Airflow workflows for pipelines.
• Strong dbt and dimensional modeling fundamentals with tests and docs.
• Built integrations against APIs, webhooks, files or event streams.
• In-depth API ingestion knowledge: auth, paging, retries, backfills.
• Owned a business-critical pipeline from design to production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own data pipelines from source systems into our warehouse.
• Develop and operate Airflow DAGs for scheduled and event-driven workflows.
• Create dbt models and a governed semantic layer for analysts and AI tools.
• Implement patterns for incremental syncs, retries, and backfills.
• Build monitoring, quality checks, and reconciliation for data integrity.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Growth, and Tech to deliver durable data products.
