Job summary

Damen Naval seeks a Data Engineer to design and maintain data infrastructure essential for connecting, organizing, and unlocking data across the organization. The role supports production of vessels and adds value to engineering and operational processes.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and integrated into business workflows, with opportunities for remote work up to two days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of data engineering, data modeling, and database design.
• Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes and optimization techniques.
• Experience with SSIS, SSAS and Power BI report Server stack on-prem.

Responsibilities

• Integrate, analyze, and prepare diverse data sources for the data warehouse.
• Developing and deploying ETL processes for loading data, such as SQL Server.
• Build and optimize data models, queries, and pipelines.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide internal technical support.
• Document ETL processes, data models, and configurations for knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to embed data solutions into business processes.
• Improve performance of reports and develop automated data processing solutions.
• Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and mentor colleagues.
