Job summary

Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Data Engineer/Analyst to collaborate with government clients, data scientists, and engineers. You will design data pipelines, optimize ETL processes, and ensure data quality for IRS compliance-related insights.

The role emphasizes scalable data architectures, data validation for deployment, and clear communication with stakeholders. Remote-capable, with a focus on government-centric data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in data engineering, database management, and analytical methodologies.
• Experience with relational/unstructured data processing for analytical applications.
• SQL optimization and database query performance experience.
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks preferred (Spark/Hadoop).
• Programming experience with Python/Java/Scala.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Government clients to define data engineering objectives and data sources.
• Design and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and database structures.
• Perform data cleaning and exploratory analysis for reporting and ML applications.
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to build scalable pipelines.
• Develop and maintain models and views for data access and visualization.
• Optimize storage, indexing, and query performance for decision making.
• Explain complex analyses to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.
