Job summary

TeamWorx Security, LLC is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines and data products for a federal government client. This fully remote role in the United States involves Databricks, Python, PySpark, and SQL to deliver reliable datasets for analytics and automation.

You will work with senior engineers and stakeholders to clarify requirements, ensure data quality, and own delivery from source to downstream datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, data science, information systems, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of data engineering or related experience.
• Hands-on Databricks experience with notebooks, PySpark or Spark SQL, and Delta tables.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data modeling, and data quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and support data pipelines in Databricks with Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Validate data against sources, fix quality issues before reporting, and document pipelines, table definitions, and business rules.
• Take ownership of work through delivery and production support, raising risks early.
• Work with stakeholders and senior engineers to clarify requirements and pick up new tools as project needs change.
