Job summary

CPG seeks a Project Manager II, Commissioning to lead multiple facets of data center construction and commissioning, with autonomy in managing budgets, schedules, and vendor coordination.

You will oversee design phases, procurement, field operations, and customer engagement, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and codes while driving continuous improvement and lessons learned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or similar field, or equivalent experience.
• Construction/Engineering/Architectural degree a plus.
• 3–5 years of construction project management experience preferred.
• Datacenter experience preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to travel ~40%.

Responsibilities

• RFP development and budgeting.
• Pre-bid oversight and coordination.
• Managing all design phases and documents.
• Publish minutes, develop milestones, and maintain monthly reports.
• Manage day-to-day office and field operations.
• Review plans for constructability and schedule; advise on issues.
• Prepare and update detailed project schedule including procurement items.
• Engage customers for sales and fulfillment of requirements.
• Coordinate with design-build contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee physical construction activities and commissioning participation.
• Close out and hand off data center docs to customer.
• Submit monthly project financial reporting and forecasts.
• Review contractor billing and perform job walks.
• Develop vendor contracts and manage RFI/Submittal process.
• Manage Change Orders with Owner and Subcontractors.
• Ensure work products meet project and customer specs and codes.
• Understand budget/estimate and procurement lead-times.
• Coordinate with proposal team on design criteria and maintenance.
• Emphasize mission-critical facility operation and safety (OSHA 30 Hour preferred).
• Schedule shifts may include nights/weekends.
