Our client is seeking a Mechanical Lead to join a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead mechanical construction execution for complex data center builds, with a focus on field coordination, installation quality, and readiness for commissioning.

Location: Remote. You will partner closely with engineering, construction, and commissioning stakeholders to keep work aligned with scope, schedule, and technical requirements in a fast-paced environment where mechanical systems

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of mechanical construction or field engineering experience in data centers or critical facilities.
• Proven leadership skills managing mechanical contractors and crews without direct authority.
• Strong understanding of cooling, ventilation, hydronic systems, and piping cleanliness standards.
• Ability to assess drawings and specifications for constructability and readiness.
• Experience with inspection, pressure testing, and system balancing processes.
• Skilled in interpreting test results and coordinating corrective actions with specialists.
• Effective communication skills for managing dependencies and escalating risks.

Responsabilités

• Manage mechanical contractors and ensure compliance with scope, schedule, and quality standards
• Oversee the installation of cooling plants, pumps, and piping systems
• Coordinate equipment placement and pipe routing with other engineering teams
• Review contractor work plans and resolve field issues with engineering teams
• Ensure completion of pressure testing and inspection records for commissioning readiness
• Assist commissioning specialists with system tests and documentation
• Set contractor priorities and coordinate recovery actions with construction leadership
• Maintain progress and risk reporting between construction partners and internal teams
