Hite Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Data & Business Intelligence Analyst to support FEMA and grant programs. The role focuses on analyzing federal grants, building dashboards, and delivering performance metrics to program leadership.

The candidate will work remotely with preference for the Washington, DC area, reporting to the Hite Program Manager. Requires strong Excel, SQL, and Power BI skills, plus experience with Python and data validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, information systems, math, stats, business, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional experience; advanced degree reduces to 4+ years.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data manipulation, formulas, pivot tables).
• Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and processing datasets.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, or comparable BI tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data validation experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain findings to nontechnical audiences.
• Ability to learn new technologies, manage competing priorities, and work independently or in a team.
• Ability to obtain DHS/FEMA Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze federal grants and operational data to identify trends and generate insights for program leadership.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, visualizations, and reports using Excel, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
• Establish and maintain performance measures for grants, awards, finances, timelines, and workload.
• Collaborate with federal program personnel to align data sources and reporting needs.
• Validate, reconcile, and organize data from multiple sources for accuracy.
• Support annual program reporting with historical analysis and performance metrics.
• Develop repeatable analytical processes; apply Python or other tools to automate calculations.
• Prepare and communicate analytical findings and recommendations to program managers.
