Job summary

RegEd is seeking a seasoned Data Architect to own the design and evolution of a cloud-native data platform serving 200+ clients in a multi-tenant SaaS. You will lead architecture for a metadata-driven data integration platform using Databricks, Azure Data Lake Gen2, and Unity Catalog, enabling flexible data ingestion through mappings and transformations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data science and development.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integrations techniques.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
• Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as AWS and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and evolution of our cloud-native data platform serving 200+ clients across a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
• Lead the architecture of a metadata-driven data integration platform built on Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and Unity Catalog.
• Collaborate with data engineering, platform engineering, and product teams to design and deliver new features.
• Translate business requirements into durable architectural patterns.
• Own our Azure Data Factory and Databricks pipeline architecture.
• Drive the data governance model underpinning a 30TB+ cloud data estate.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field
