Job summary

phData, a remote-first data and AI consultancy, is seeking a senior Solutions Architect for our Managed Services team. You will design and deliver large-scale data platforms on Snowflake, AWS and Azure, guiding engineering teams and customers through complex architectures.

You will own Epics, coordinate across customers, and mentor engineers while advancing automation and performance. Strong SQL, cloud data warehousing, and data integration skills are essential; excellent communication to

Qualifications

• Production support of enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks).
• Architectural guidance and operational support for cloud-native data warehouses (Snowflake and/or Redshift).
• Experience with cloud storage technologies like S3, ADLS, HDFS, NoSQL systems.
• Data integration tech such as Spark, Kafka, Fivetran, NiFi, AWS DMS, Azure Data Factory.
• Workflow orchestration with Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, Luigi, NiFi.
• Strong SQL skills; ability to write, debug, and optimize queries.
• Proven leadership and mentorship of engineers.
• Ability to present technical concepts to executives.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Propose, design, and provision cloud-native data solutions on AWS/Azure.
• Lead a technical team across data platforms—from streaming to lakes to analytics.
• Own multiple customer accounts as technical lead across various stacks.
• Coach Engineers; ensure timely delivery of Epics/Stories/Tasks.
• Provide data-model design input for Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
• Automate, optimize, and expand the customer data platform.
