Job summary

Switch is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer II to develop data solutions for data centers, including pipelines, warehouses, and analytical models. The role emphasizes turning infrastructure data into actionable insights and supporting AI-enabled workflows.

Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Construction to ensure data products meet operational needs and drive performance. Remote/hybrid options are available and encouraged where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher in a math-intensive discipline.
• 2+ years of experience supporting critical infrastructure or data center operations.
• 1+ years in an engineering role.
• 1+ years in data science, data analytics, or comparable analytical role.
• Experience with Python or another programming or cloud-computing language.
• Experience with SQL and analytical data environments.
• Strong understanding of data analysis methodologies & statistical techniques.
• Experience with database management & data analysis tools.
• Strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate end-to-end data systems from APIs, databases, and external systems.
• Design ETL/ELT pipelines to load, cleanse, transform, and unify data for analytics.
• Develop data warehouses and supporting schemas.
• Develop high-performance Starburst SQL queries, views, and transformations.
• Build data-driven web applications connecting backend APIs with analytical databases.
• Partner with engineering teams to deploy data applications securely at scale.
• Support ML workflows by developing feature-generation pipelines and clean datasets.
• Develop automation that reduces repetitive data-processing work.
• Design and deploy generative AI applications and LLM-based workflows.
• Monitor and optimize pipelines, databases, applications, and systems for reliability.
• Establish data quality standards and security controls.
