Job summary

Brooksource is assisting a client in seeking a Data Analyst to support its Digital Product organization. This role combines hands-on SQL analysis, data preparation and validation, and reporting to help stakeholders understand digital performance and make informed business decisions.

The consultant will work with digital/product data and related customer and transactional information, investigate data quality issues, and build or improve reports and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data investigation, preparation, validation, and reporting.
• Strong SQL skills; reason about data granularity and edge cases.
• Experience building or improving reports/dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to work with digital/product data and multiple sources to inform analysis.
• Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders and data-backed recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Write SQL queries with joins, aggregations, and CTEs to explore large datasets and answer business questions.
• Identify data quality issues and validate outputs by reconciling totals and counts.
• Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Analyze digital/product data to connect customer activity with business impact.
• Translate ambiguous questions into structured analyses and present findings clearly.
• Document data rules, query logic, and validation checks; collaborate with data engineers.
• Communicate findings and limitations in plain language and address stakeholder questions.
• Manage analytical work independently and flag opportunities for further investigation.
