Nascent is seeking an engineer to own data acquisition systems feeding trading and research operations. You will build warehouse-grade scrapers in Rust, fight anti-bot countermeasures, and maintain a distributed fleet across cloud and bare metal.

You’ll work with analysts and researchers to ensure data quality and freshness for trading-grade workflows. You’ll thrive in remote-first environment with cross-continental collaboration, and you’ll own uptime, not just deployments, across heterogeneous

Formación

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience with strong systems or backend fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, C++, Java is required; Rust experience is a strong plus.
• Deep understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, internals, CDNs, proxies, load balancing.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain production-grade web scraping systems in Rust, resilient to site changes and anti-bot measures.
• Operate and monitor a heterogeneous distributed infrastructure across multiple cloud providers and bare metal.
• Diagnose production issues from logs and telemetry, building observability into deployed systems.
• Design proxy management and network-evasion strategies for reliable data acquisition at scale.
• Develop tooling for fleet health monitoring, automated alerting, and self-healing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with analysts and researchers to understand data requirements and data quality standards.
• Reverse-engineer web apps and APIs to adapt to target site changes.
• Continuously improve system reliability, throughput, and maintainability.
• Deploy and maintain agentic workflows using LLM-based agents to discover data sources and surface failures.
