Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is partnering with a fintech company to design and build high-throughput backend services in Rust for real-time market data processing. You will tackle memory, concurrency, and network I/O bottlenecks to ensure ultra-low latency in a scalable data infrastructure.

The role emphasizes performance optimization, profiling, and collaboration on architecture choices within a small engineering team, with a fully remote environment and strong compensation potential.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience with Rust in production environments.
• Experience building high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and asynchronous programming.
• Strong systems programming background with experience optimizing performance-critical applications.
• Experience working with Linux-based systems.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and socket programming.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-throughput, low-latency backend services in Rust.
• Develop systems responsible for ingesting, processing, and distributing massive volumes of real-time market data.
• Optimize performance across memory allocation, concurrency, threading, and network I/O.
• Build and enhance distributed systems focused on reliability, scalability, and speed.
• Work closely with a small team of engineers on architecture and technical design decisions.
• Profile, benchmark, and tune systems to improve throughput and reduce latency.
• Contribute to the evolution of core infrastructure supporting mission-critical data platforms.
