Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Cybersecurity Project Attorney with 1–3 years of experience to join our Seattle team or work remotely within the United States.

You will coordinate incident responses with legal, technical, and business stakeholders, advise on breach laws, support transactions, oversee investigations, and help integrate AI tools into legal practice while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited institution and admission to practice in a US jurisdiction.
• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity incident response or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and solve practical problems.
• Familiarity with breach notification laws and incident response processes.
• Interest in AI applications in law.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate responses to security incidents with legal, technical, and business stakeholders.
• Analyze breach notification laws and advise on obligations and timelines.
• Advise on security aspects of corporate transactions.
• Direct forensic investigations and liaise with vendors.
• Manage regulatory reporting obligations and litigation holds.
• Draft and review incident-related communications.
• Conduct data impact assessments and support post-incident remediation.
• Develop and refine incident response workflows and procedures.
• Integrate technology, including AI, into legal practice.
• Educate legal professionals on incident response tools and resources.
