Job summary

RainFocus is seeking a mid‑level Cybersecurity Engineer to safeguard our software platform and cloud environments. You will bridge IT, DevOps, and development teams, owning vulnerability remediation, secure architecture discussions, and incident response.

You will work with tools like Tenable, Burp Suite, Kali Linux, and BugCrowd to reduce risk, while promoting secure coding and security awareness across the organization. This is a hands-on, autonomous security role in a dynamic tech environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with vulnerability management end-to-end (scanning, remediation, validation).
• Familiarity with web app security testing and SCA.
• Proven ability to work with development teams to secure architecture and code dependencies.
• Experience with threat modeling and secure coding practices.
• Knowledge of cloud security in AWS and securing cloud-native apps.

Responsibilities

• Own the vulnerability management program end-to-end (scanning, remediation, validation).
• Manage crowdsourced security program (BugCrowd) and monitor external posture (Bitsight).
• Collaborate with developers in architecture reviews to ensure secure coding practices.
• Lead risk analyses for changes and participate in Change Control Board (CCB).
• Triage and document security incidents with OneTrust and Jira; coordinate with DevOps on AWS security tooling.
• Maintain oversight of endpoint tools (Sophos, JAMF, BetterCloud) and ensure alerting.
• Administer security awareness modules (RF Academy) and drive security culture.
