Job summary
BNSF is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer I/II (Vulnerability & Patch Management) for a remote US role. You will work with a team to monitor, assess, and mitigate vulnerabilities across enterprise systems, cloud environments, and applications, while coordinating patches with IT and DevOps.

Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the US
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or related roles
- Basic understanding of vulnerability concepts (CVEs, CVSS scores, patch cycles)
- Foundational knowledge of Windows and/or Linux
Responsibilities
- Vulnerability Management: run scans with Nessus/Qualys under senior guidance
- Patch Management: coordinate deployment across servers and endpoints
- Security Operations Support: maintain runbooks and ensure patch/vuln alignment with incident response
- Automation & Tooling: develop beginner-level scripts (Python/PowerShell) to automate tasks
