Job summary

Apollo Information Systems is seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Engineer to implement and manage security, networking, and cloud technologies for client environments. You will design solutions, deploy tooling, and operate day-to-day across security platforms, networks, and cloud services.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage client priorities in a fast-paced managed services environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity, networking, or systems administration.
• Proven ability to implement and manage security or network technologies in production.
• Experience with common security tools (firewalls, IPS/IDS, SIEM, EDR/MDR).
• Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced managed services environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with ability to document designs for clients.

Responsibilities

• Participate in assessing client environments against frameworks (NIST CSF 2.0, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, CMMC, CJIS, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
• Design secure solutions across cybersecurity, networking and cloud technologies, balancing client needs with security architecture.
• Configure, install, enable, and maintain security products and services.
• Research and implement solutions to technical problems and suggest design changes.
• Maintain deployed security, network, and cloud environments for uptime.
• Handle network administration tasks including client trouble tickets and designs.
• Monitor security events and investigate suspicious activity.
• Collaborate with SOC Analysts to refine SIEM rules and detections.
• Use platforms to gather data, generate reports, and support clients and teams with analysis.
• Contribute to small to medium projects and document SOPs.
