Job summary

Ardent seeks a Cyber Lead Auditor / Test Lead to provide independent technical and assurance leadership for a cybersecurity program. This remote role involves frequent travel to Tallahassee, FL, collaborating with multi-agency teams to convert OCIG objectives into auditable, defensible testing strategies and evidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, audit, information systems, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, PMP, CEH, or equivalent are required.
• 10 years of progressive cybersecurity experience in security operations, incident response, or audit support.
• 5 years supporting or conducting audits or assurance work in government or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead ingestion and analysis of agency documentation including risk assessments and remediation plans.
• Direct development of risk understanding memoranda and testing priorities.
• Design detailed testing strategies with objectives, controls, tools, sampling, and evidence.
• Map procedures to NIST CSF and applicable state criteria and rules of engagement.
• Ensure testing stays within OCIG authorization and avoids duplication of testing.
• Review evidence for relevance, reliability, sufficiency, and traceability.
• Validate findings and clearly label advisory recommendations (not an opinion).
• Conduct independent QA reviews of technical deliverables and sign off.
• Lead trainings and knowledge transfer for OCIG and OIG staff.
