Job summary

Symetra seeks an Associate Customer Operations Representative to review and process financial activities for our annuity products, including withdrawals and transfers. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely processing, and customer experience across flexible full-time or hybrid arrangements.

You will maintain SLAs, collaborate across teams, and look for efficiency gains while handling occasional escalations and direct contact with customers or agents as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Effective computer and software skills.
• Capable of following procedures and processes.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review and process financial activities for active annuity products (withdrawals, transfers, beneficiary changes, account maintenance).
• Enter activities into administrative systems while maintaining accuracy.
• Meet team and partner SLAs and collaborate across the organization.
• Identify ways to gain efficiencies and reduce errors.
• Handle occasional escalations and customer/agent contact to resolve issues.
