Job summary

LifeWay Christian Resources seeks a Content Editor II to develop and edit preschool curriculum and short-term studies for kids. The role ensures theological accuracy and alignment with BF&M 2000 while partnering with authors and teams to shape instructional resources.

The position is remote in the U.S. with occasional travel to Nashville for team gatherings. A strong evangelical background and experience with church ministry are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of editorial or content development experience.
• 3+ years of preschool and/or kids ministry related experience.
• Editing expertise across manuscript review and theological accuracy.
• Strong editorial judgment aligned with Scripture and Baptist Faith & Message 2000.
• Clear written and verbal communication with authors and teams.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform substantive editing to ensure theological accuracy and alignment with BF&M 2000.
• Edit content for clarity, tone, structure, and instructional flow.
• Create original content or significantly rewrite writer submissions.
• Apply Lifeway style and grammar standards across formats.
• Collaborate with editors and designers for on-time delivery.
• Mentor editors and guide theological clarity in resources.
• Engage ministry leaders to inform editorial decisions.
• Conduct targeted research for biblical and contextual accuracy.
