Job summary

The International Islamic University of Minnesota (IIUMN) seeks a Curriculum Developer to design and enhance curricula across AA, BA, MA, Doctorate, and Ph.D. programs, blending traditional Islamic scholarship with modern pedagogy for a diverse, global student body.

You will develop outlines, syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessments; collaborate with faculty; ensure consistency across programs; and support both live and self-paced formats in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; Ph.D preferred in Islamic Studies, Education, Curriculum Design, or related field.
• Proven experience in curriculum development within higher education.
• Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills; ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to design programs for diverse learners (English and/or Arabic medium preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive curricula across all program levels.
• Review and update existing course content for academic rigor and relevance.
• Align curriculum with institutional goals, accreditation standards, and best practices.
• Develop course outlines, syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessment strategies.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership to ensure consistency across programs.
• Integrate traditional Islamic scholarship with contemporary academic frameworks.
• Ensure clarity, accessibility, and engagement in learning materials.
• Support both live and self-paced course development formats.
