Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Customer Service Representative I to deliver general OPM healthcare enrollment information to callers. This entry-level role uses phones, email, chat, and web tools, working under defined training and SOPs.

The position is fully remote, with residency within 75 miles of Maximus McAllen, TX, and a duration of approximately 6–8 weeks. Responsibilities include assisting callers with healthcare plan choices, directing to appropriate resources, and maintaining up-to-date

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak and read English clearly, professionally and fluently.
• Must be able to type a minimum of 20 WPM.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to organize multiple tasks.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A U.S. citizen is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service for basic and routine inquiries via telephone, email, chat, or written letters.
• Uses computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting.
• Refer callers to published materials or more senior staff as needed.
• Responds to inquiries quickly and professionally while following policies and procedures.
• Work is performed within contractual turnaround times and privacy rules.
• Assists callers in locating information to help decide on healthcare plans.
