Job summary

Sherwin-Williams seeks a Cybersecurity Security Operations Center (CSOC) Manager to lead the CSOC, oversee security engineers/analysts, and drive threat monitoring, incident response, and security posture improvements. You will balance tactical alert handling with strategic initiatives under senior leadership guidance.

The role requires extensive IT/cyber experience, leadership of a security team, and strong collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years IT and/or cyber experience.
• 8+ years IT security experience
• 8+ years of managing a team of direct reports
• Minimum 1 year experience with cyber-security investigations and incident response.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in process analysis and improvement.
• Background in metrics/reporting.
• Experience identifying and implementing solutions to complex business problems.
• Understanding of various operating systems with emphasis on vulnerability assessment and hardening.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage team employees reporting directly to you. Include midyear and annual staff evaluations and performance improvement as needed.
• Manage the on-call rotation and time off for the SOC.
• Provide regular training sessions and mentorship to facilitate knowledge-sharing.
• Hire new staff or contract outside services to supplement capability.
• Responsible for vendor management including contract renewals and relationships.
• Track tool performance / utilization to measure ROI and support future evaluation.
• Identify tool/service evaluation opportunities working with Security Threat Architect.
• Lead day-to-day CSOC budget management.
• Communicate during incident response to ensure timely notification and containment; document IR progress and post-mortems.
• Ensure CSOC meets regulatory compliance and least privilege access to logs and investigation data.
• Collaborate with Cyber Threat Intelligence and other departments to address CSOC needs.
