Job summary

Sompo is hiring a Crop Insurance Adjuster for the Upper Midwest, based remotely in North Dakota (Jamestown/Valley City/Fargo area). You’ll support MPCI, Private Products, and Named Peril claims operations while collaborating with local teams.

Ideal candidates bring 2 years’ crop insurance claims experience, CAPP certification and a valid driver's license. Strong communication and field-inspection skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience handling crop insurance claims preferred.
• CAPP certification required and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• State license and relevant credentials as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, policyholders and agents.
• Record and transmit loss information to determine potential damages according to procedures.
• Complete field inspections, read maps, measure fields and storage bins.
• Explain adjusting procedures and findings to policyholders and agents.
• Perform fact-finding and investigate crop damage; coordinate information for indemnities.
