Job summary

COUNTRY Financial is seeking a Crop Claims Adjuster to investigate, inspect, evaluate and pay Federal Crop and Crop Hail claims. The territory includes Mercer/Henry/Rock Island counties in Illinois, with a fully remote U.S. work option.

You will manage coverage determinations, client communications within 24 hours, inspections, and settlements. Expect responsibilities such as drone-assisted inspections, auditing, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

Requires 4+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination.
Valid driver’s license required for all levels.
Federal Crop Certification for P2–P4 required.
Must be able to lift at least 10 lbs.
Must live in or near Mercer, Henry or Rock Island counties, Illinois.
Travel may be required with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

Review policy, determine coverage levels, and explain claims procedures after claim receipt.
Inspect damage, determine cause of loss and evaluate damages to issue payment.
Coordinate inspections, set dates, and communicate with insureds, claimants, carriers.
Audit, bin measurements, drone flights, and training as needed.
Maintain relationships with agencies and Illinois Farm Bureau Managers.
Negotiate settlements with involved parties.
