Volt is urgently hiring a Remote Critical Access Medical Billing Specialist. This full-time role involves generating revenue through collections, establishing payment arrangements with insurers, and maintaining Medicare bad-debt cost reports.

Ideal candidates have Meditech Expanse or Epic experience and strong communication skills. The position requires experience with rural clinic/hospital billing and direct interaction with insurance companies, with a pay rate of $26.00-$33.00 per hour and

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Medical Biller or similar role.
• Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records
• Multitask and manage time effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities
• Meditech Expanse or Epic experience required.
• Experience working directly with insurance companies
• Rural health clinic billing experience
• Critical access hospital experience required.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by making payment arrangements, collecting accounts and monitoring and pursuing delinquent accounts.
• Collect delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements with insurance providers, monitoring payments and following up with insurance companies when payment lapses occur
• Maintain Medicare bad-debt cost report
• Secure outstanding balance payments for care of employees
