Job summary

Volt is hiring a Remote Critical Access Medical Billing Specialist for a full-time position. You will generate revenue, collect delinquent accounts, and monitor Medicare bad-debt cost reports in a rural health care setting.

The ideal candidate has proven medical billing experience, knowledge of Meditech Expanse or Epic, and experience working with insurance companies. This role offers benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Medical Biller or similar role.
• Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records.
• Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Meditech Expanse or Epic experience required.
• Experience working directly with insurance companies.
• Rural health clinic billing experience.
• Critical access hospital experience required.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by making payment arrangements, collecting accounts and monitoring and pursuing delinquent accounts
• Collect delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements with insurance providers, monitoring payments and following up with insurance companies when payment lapses occur
• Maintain Medicare bad-debt cost report
• Secure outstanding balance payments for care of employees
