Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to help shape the credit policy for Stripe's lending products using proprietary data. You will drive risk and underwriting framework changes, informing pricing and capital allocation decisions.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Capital Markets, and leverage external data where applicable. The role supports remote work with US-based teams and international coordination.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in credit analysis and underwriting.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, statistics, or a related field.
• Experience in risk management, financial lending, or core credit risk management function.
• Strong analytical skills and a rigorous, data-driven approach to problem-solving.
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to closely manage expectations and deliverables.
• Ability to thrive in an unstructured and fast-moving organization.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement credit policies based on Stripe's data to target, price, and size capital products.
• Provide credit risk recommendations, deliver insights, and support strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Capital Markets across geographies.
• Incorporate third-party data into our credit assessment.
• Analyze account activity and monitor portfolio trends to reduce credit losses.
• Scale risk processes by designing and optimizing outsourced workflows.
