American Consumer Credit Counseling is seeking a Credit Counselor to provide confidential, one-on-one counseling by phone or online. You will review client budgets, offer personalized debt solutions, and enroll clients into ACCC programs while educating on credit health.

The role requires 1–2 years in counseling, a high school diploma (associates or BA preferred), and NFCC certification to be obtained within six months. Remote, full-time, with evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelor's preferred.
• 1–2 years in credit counseling, financial coaching, or debt management.
• NFCC Credit Counselor Certification to be obtained within six months.
• Experience analyzing client budgets and creating repayment plans.
• Experience counseling clients confidentially (phone/online).
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Availability to work evenings and one Saturday per month.

Responsabilités

• Conduct one-on-one credit counseling sessions by phone, reviewing budgets and providing recommendations.
• Deliver financial education, create client budgets, and assist with enrollment into ACCC programs.
• Process consumer applications and enter client data accurately.
• Follow up with prospective clients to initiate or continue counseling.
• Enroll qualified clients into debt consolidation or financial assistance programs.
• Educate clients on credit reports, scores, and healthy financial habits.
• Document interactions and maintain confidential client records.
