Job summary

BetterHelp is seeking a Credentialing Specialist to lead the credentialing associate team, document insurance credentialing workflows, and train staff on new processes. This role collaborates with the Credentialing Team Lead and TekSystems governance, ensuring timely credentialing and provider data accuracy.

The position supports remote work from anywhere in the U.S., with occasional in-person bonding events and company-backed travel.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Deep understanding of web development concepts.
• Experience with frontend, backend, and databases.
• 5+ years of professional web development experience.
• 3+ years of SQL experience.
• Experience using Git in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to work remotely with occasional in-person bonding experiences.
• Strong ownership and commitment to building meaningful software.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of the credentialing associate team.
• Training of the credentialing associate team.
• Documentation of all BetterHelp Insurance Credentialing processes.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, training, and support to credentialing associates.
• Identify and problem solve inefficiencies in credentialing and recredentialing processes.
• Develop and maintain the credentialing team’s relationships with other BetterHelp teams.
• Track application statuses, credentialing deadlines, and recredentialing timelines.
• Maintain accurate provider information in internal systems.
