Job summary

Medix is seeking a detail-oriented Provider Contracting & Credentialing Document Specialist to support provider network operations. The role involves reviewing, validating, and processing documentation for commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid networks, with outbound outreach to hospitals and health plans to resolve outstanding requirements.

The position is a long-term, 12-month contract fully remote, with company-provided equipment.

Qualifications

• Direct provider enrollment experience is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience reviewing, validating, or processing documents in a healthcare setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing information and errors.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including outbound calls and follow-up.
• Ability to manage multiple files and meet daily productivity targets.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and validate provider contracting and credentialing applications.
• Conduct outbound calls to obtain missing or outdated documentation.
• Manage a daily workload of 5–10 provider files depending on complexity.
• Identify gaps and coordinate follow-up to resolve deficiencies.
• Track outreach and document follow-up activities in systems.
• Maintain accurate provider demographic and credentialing data.
