Qualifications

• 10+ years experience as Commercial Real Estate paralegal in a large firm.
• Strong drafting abilities are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of legal language and research methods, court pleadings and processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft and abstract a variety of leases including office, ground, and retail leases using existing forms.
• Diligently perform due diligence on real estate and financing transactions with thoroughness.
• Review surveys, title commitments, and exception documents.
• Prepare documents related to real estate, loan, and construction matters.
• Prepare ancillary documents such as escrow instructions, deeds, easements, closing certificates, and settlements.
• Provide general assistance in real estate, lending, construction, and leasing transactions.
• Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Analyze and summarize documents, zoning ordinances, and statutes for attorney review.
• Collaborate with attorneys to resolve day-to-day issues across commercial transactions.
