Job summary

MountainSeed MarketPlace seeks a Collateral Risk Analyst to evaluate automated QC reviews of commercial real estate appraisal reports, determine model accuracy, and mitigate valuation risks. Remote role requiring CG real property appraiser license or 10+ years as CRE appraisal underwriter.

You will use proprietary tools to ensure methodologies and conclusions comply with federal/state regulations, interact with appraisers, and maintain strict confidentiality across U.S. properties.

Qualifications

• Must have Certified General Real Property Appraiser license or 10+ years as CRE collateral risk/appraisal underwriter.
• Knowledge of CRE appraisal methodologies, valuation theory, and approaches (Sales Comparison, Income Capitalization, Cost).
• Familiarity with Interagency Appraisal Guidelines, USPAP, FIRREA and applicable regs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors in complex reports.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments remotely and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate automated quality control results for CRE appraisal reports nationwide.
• Use proprietary review software to assess methodology, consistency, and compliance.
• Identify errors, omissions, and deficiencies and remediate valuation risks.
• Communicate findings clearly with appraisers and valuation professionals.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to laws, policies, and timelines.
