Job summary

UC Funds is seeking a remote analytical professional to own the execution layer of screening, underwriting, and packaging bridge deals. You will model cash flows, size debt, and prepare participation packages, working with senior staff to ensure timely, accurate recommendations.

You will handle multiple live deals, build standard models, and leverage AI/automation to speed workflows while maintaining high-quality output for external lenders.

Qualifications

• From-scratch financial modelling in Excel with CRE context.
• Underwriting from primary deal documents (rent rolls, operating statements, T-12s, capex, leases).
• Lender-side analysis including DSCR, debt yield, LTV/LTC, interest reserves.
• Third-party ready written output (credit memos, offering memoranda).
• US commercial real estate fluency; knowledge of US lease structures and operating statements.
• Professional English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Screening & underwriting: Underwrite income-producing real estate from primary documents and build a cash flow model from a blank sheet; assess missing or overstated items.
• Packaging & participations: Create credit memos and participation packages; present deals clearly while exposing retained risk.
• Analysis & recommendation: Deliver a complete recommendation with rationale and handle multiple live deals without losing detail; keep senior sponsor informed in writing.
