Job summary

American Equipment Holdings is seeking a Mechanical Designer II with a strong crane design background and extensive SolidWorks experience to design custom crane systems and components.

The ideal candidate will hold CSWP and preferably CSWE credentials, have 5 years of mechanical design experience in crane or heavy equipment industries, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure performance, safety, and manufacturing standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or Associate degree, or Technical certificate.
• Crane design experience.
• 5 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in crane design or heavy equipment industries.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop crane systems, components, and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams to ensure design meets customer needs and the Company’s design requirements.
• Design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure designs meet applicable industry standards and safety regulations.
• Assists with project documentation including submittal and fabrication drawings, BOMs, spare parts lists, and manuals.
