Job summary

American Equipment Holdings in the United States is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer II with crane design expertise and strong SolidWorks proficiency. You will design custom crane systems and components, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure safety and manufacturability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of mechanical design experience, CSWP certification (CSWE preferred), and experience with PDM and CAD data management.

Qualifications

  • CSWP certification required; CSWE preferred.
  • 5+ years of mechanical design experience, crane or heavy equipment preferred.
  • Strong CAD modeling and drafting skills.
  • Familiar with CMAA, ANSI/ASME, OSHA specs.
  • Experience with PDM and CAD data management.

Responsibilities

  • Design crane systems and components using SolidWorks.
  • Create detailed drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project management.
  • Ensure designs meet safety standards and ISO quality controls.
  • Support design reviews and implement continuous improvement.
  • Perform field surveys and participate in submittals.
