Job summary

TaskUs is seeking a Quality Analyst to audit behavioral health charts, ensure coding accuracy, and guarantee billing compliance under HIPAA. You will serve as a subject matter expert, coaching frontline coders and collaborating with leadership to uphold client guidelines.

The ideal candidate has CPC certification, at least 1 year in medical billing/coding with QA experience, and strong attention to detail. Remote-friendly, analytical, and able to communicate complex concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• CPC Certification required; CPMA or auditing credentials are a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Billing and Coding experience; QA/Auditing or Senior Coder role preferred.
• Strong Behavioral Health/Mental Health coding and billing knowledge.
• Proficiency with CPT, ICD-10-CM, and E/M leveling tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with coaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Quality Auditing: conduct routine quality reviews of behavioral health coding and billing for compliance.
• Error Analysis & Calibration: identify trends and validate E/M leveling using guidelines.
• Feedback & Coaching: provide actionable feedback to Coding Teammates.
• Process Improvement: partner with leadership to update auditing grids and training gaps.
• Compliance Enforcement: safeguard patient data per HIPAA and security standards.
• Vendor Management: maintain relations with external partners and clients to meet quality goals.
