Job summary

MADD Center in Charleston, SC is seeking a Court Monitor to support misdemeanor DWI case oversight remotely from within Charleston or Berkeley County. You will maintain a consistent courtroom presence, review court records, collect and report accurate data, and help identify obstacles in sentencing and prosecution while coordinating with volunteers.

This role requires a high school diploma with 2–4 years of professional experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years professional business experience.
• Legal background preferred.
• Must be able to travel and maintain a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile & report accurate and complete data on a timely basis according to program and grant requirements.
• Build relationships with court personnel including bailiffs, clerks and prosecutors.
• Monitor designated court procedures involved in hearings, trials, and sentencing within a courtroom setting.
• Maintain regular communication with Supervisor.
• Recruit volunteers from across the state.
• Conduct volunteer interviews and process background checks.
