Job summary

Koppers Inc. is offering a student internship in the communications team. The role involves writing, editing and proofreading internal and external employee communications, maintaining the corporate intranet blog, and creating content for digital boards and social media.

You will collaborate on engaging posts for Facebook and LinkedIn and help manage the digital media library. Ideal candidates are juniors or seniors pursuing PR, marketing, or related fields, with strong communication skills and

Qualifications

Student at junior or senior level working toward a degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Multimedia Design or related major.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Comfort initiating outreach and engagement with employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong time management and organizational skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

Contribute to writing, editing and proofing internal + external employee communications.
Help maintain internal corporate blog (secure content, draft stories, post weekly updates to intranet).
Create designed content for the company’s digital communications boards.
Collaborate on creating engaging content for the company’s Facebook and LinkedIn pages.
Support the organization and management of Koppers digital media library.
