Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains in Altoona, PA is seeking a part-time chaplain to serve employees and their families, visiting worksites weekly and offering confidential pastoral support and spiritual guidance.

You will coordinate with company leadership, provide crisis support, assist with funerals, grief support, and referrals, and help teams through life challenges while upholding Christian values and ministry standards.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Active Christian lifestyle and ministry values.
• Ability to work in an interfaith setting.
• Excellent oral and written communication and diplomacy with diverse groups.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Makes regular visits to company worksites (usually weekly) to interact with employees and build relationships of trust and friendship.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions for personal issues, including family matters and financial stress.
• May assist in planning or attending funerals and provide follow-up support during grief.
• May make jail visits and coordinate specialized assistance referrals as needed.
• Represents the ministry to clients and participates in new employee orientation about Employee Care Service.
• Responds to executive leadership requests within the Letter of Agreement and supports client needs.
