Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Conversational AI Platform Engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions, including voice and chat bots, powered by AWS and LLMs.

You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI-driven applications, ensuring performance, observability, and cost efficiency across production environments.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience building Conversational AI and Agentic AI platforms using AWS Bedrock, Lex, and related AWS services.
• Hones production-grade Generative AI solutions with LLM apps, agent workflows, tool/call features.
• Experience designing voice/chat bots with intent modeling, prompts, and NLU.
• Solid AWS cloud development experience: Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch.
• Experience securing enterprise AI apps with guardrails, data protection, and access controls.
• Experience monitoring and optimizing AI agents in production.
• Hands-on with conversational analytics, evaluation frameworks, and bot performance tuning.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy conversational AI platforms, including voice and chat bots on AWS.
• Build agentic AI apps using Bedrock, AgentCore, and Strands SDK/Framework.
• Develop GAI and LLM apps with tool calling, function calling, and multi-agent workflows.
• Create intent models, conversation flows, prompts, and NLU capabilities.
• Monitor and optimize AI agents for accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost.
