Job summary

Cognizant is hiring a Conversational AI Platform Engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade conversational AI solutions, including voice and chat bots, powered by AWS services and LLMs. You will work with Architects, cloud engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver AI-driven applications.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, production-grade Generative AI, agent orchestration, and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building Conversational AI platforms using AWS Lex and Bedrock.
• Experience building production-grade Generative AI solutions with LLM apps, tool calling, and agent workflows.
• Designing voice/chat bot solutions with intent modeling, prompts, and NLU concepts.
• Strong AWS cloud development: Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch.
• Experience securing enterprise AI apps with guardrails, data protection, and access controls.
• Experience monitoring and optimizing AI agents in production environments.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development platforms (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy conversational AI platforms including voice and chat bots using AWS Lex and Bedrock.
• Build agentic AI applications leveraging Bedrock AgentCore and AWS strands framework.
• Develop Generative AI solutions with multi-agent workflows and tool/function calling.
• Design intents, conversation flows, prompts, and NLU for effective user experiences.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AI agents for accuracy, latency, and cost efficiency.
