Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Conversational AI Platform Engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade conversational AI solutions, voice and chat bots, and agentic AI applications powered by AWS services and LLMs. You will join the AI Engineering team and collaborate with architects, cloud engineers, product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative AI-driven solutions.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience building Conversational AI platforms using AWS Bedrock and Lex.
Proven ability to deploy production-grade Generative AI and LLM-based applications.
Strong experience with voice bot and chat bot design, intents, and NLU.
Solid AWS cloud development experience (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch).
Knowledge of guardrails, data protection, access controls, and responsible AI basics.
Experience monitoring and optimizing AI agents in production environments.
Familiarity with AI analytics, evaluation frameworks, and bot performance.
Experience with AI-assisted development platforms like Copilot or ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy conversational AI platforms and agents.
Build agentic AI applications using Bedrock, AgentCore, and AWS SDKs.
Develop Gen AI solutions with tool calling, multi-agent workflows, and orchestration patterns.
Design intent models, prompts, and NLU for strong user experiences.
Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot AI agents for accuracy, latency, and cost.
