Job summary

ICON plc in Austin, TX is seeking a Controls Engineer II to design, maintain and optimize the diagnostic infrastructure powering our fleet. You’ll develop troubleshooting tools, telemetry dashboards, and predictive maintenance models, and serve as escalation point for complex control-system issues.

You will work with Field Engineering, IT, electrical and mechanical teams, deliver remote training, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, control systems or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or control systems support.
• Strong working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA and control network protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain diagnostic infrastructure, troubleshooting tools, dashboards and predictive maintenance models.
• Serve as escalation point for complex controls failures across Field Engineering and customer teams.
• Develop and deliver field training on control systems, operation and configuration.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical and IT teams for seamless integration and risk management.
